I am a junior at Princeton High School. I have a strong passion for biology and health science as I benefited from a miraculous recovery from cerebral palsy that I suffered since birth. I am currently enrolled in the research program of PHS and studying the effects of tryptophan and other nutrients on planaria regeneration. In my spare time, I train for and compete in triathlon races. Last summer I won the first place in the Para-Triathlete division, both nationally and for the state in New Jersey State Triathlon. With my planarian regeneration project, I want to help people recover from debilitating trauma by discovering new mechanisms in regenerative medicine.
My name is Jaymi Suggs and I am a senior at The Academy for the Arts, Science, and Technology. Ever since I was little, I’ve always had a passion for science and my family deeply encouraged it. At my school, I am a biomedical science major where I explore my interests in forensics and different healthcare innovations to get a better understanding of how it affects populations. I plan to major in biochemistry at the University of South Carolina in hopes to one day become a pathologist and innovate the healthcare field.
