I’m Moxuan Lu, a sophomore high school student at Shanghai World Foreign Academy. From a young age, I have been aspiring to to a medical doctor, inspired by my mother’s profound sense of fulfillment in helping patients recover from severe illnesses. Currently, I have a strong interest in biology and have participated in several biomedical programs to further explore my passion for medical dream. With plans to pursue a pre-med program in college, I am deeply committed to the field of medicine and eager to contribute to advancements in healthcare.

My name is Denali, and I’m a senior at Calvert High School. After graduation, I plan to attend Harvard University and double major in Cellular Biology and Psychology with a minor in Ethics, Public Policy, or American Sign Language. After college, I plan to attend medical school and pursue an MD.

Mayda Jiguan was born in the town of San Luis Tuimuj in Guatemala and grew up speaking Mam, a Mayan language. Over the past four years that she has studied at Princeton High School in New Jersey, she has been a team member on two projects that won national and statewide awards, as well as a presenter during the 2024 Samsung Solve for Tomorrow STEM competition that won a national grand prize. She has also been an active member in the Princeton High School Research Program, where she has conducted investigations on the bacterial communities of plants and the genetics of invertebrates. Outside of class time, she developed an extensive garden to showcase sustainable agriculture and flowers that attract pollinators. She plans to study biomedical research in college and she enjoys laboratory work very much.

I’m Iris Shen, a current junior at The Winsor School. I have a passion for science and community service, and I love to get to know others through the work that I do! In college, I hope to go on a pre-med track, and hope to be able to help others in the future.
